Her husband, Trevor McCarthy, is also a prominent jockey, making horse racing a true family affair. In 2024, Katie continued to build on her impressive career, achieving 29 wins out of 351 starts and earning over $2.1 million in purse earnings. Her momentum carried into 2025, with 13 wins as of March. Beyond the track, Katie's dedication to the sport extends to the welfare of retired racehorses. In October 2024, she joined the Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation's Board of Directors, bringing her passion and experience to support the organization's mission. Now an equine dentist and chiropractor, Clint spends his days working with horses in a hands-on way, seeing firsthand the trust and understanding these incredible animals offer. He is also the founder of The Ranch: Teammates for Life, a sanctuary dedicated to supporting athletes, first responders, and anyone struggling with mental health.
